Book Synopsis
The author's maternal grandfather and father helped establish and develop the Presbyterian Conference Center at Zephyr Point, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, starting with the purchase of the property in the 1920s. The oldest remaining structure on the property is the cabin built by the Otis Linn and associated family and friends. The book follows the building and evolution of the cabin, named Linnview, from 1925 to the present day. The book augments the text with over 130 photographs, also from the 1920s to the present day. The body of the book is appended by 4 documents by relatives of the author recounting their association with Zephyr Point and with the family cabin. The book describes not only the story of the cabin, but it shows the intimacy of ties between the cabin and the descendant families of Otis and Anna Linn. Anyone interested in the history of Lake Tahoe beginning in the 1920s should find the book an interesting and unique resource.
