Book Synopsis
This volume tells the story of the author's early life, from his birth on July 20, 1945 until his family relocated before his 16th birthday from California to Reno, Nevada in 1961. The narrative roughly follows a chronological sequence, but not rigidly, because it subdivides the sequence into categories that sometimes meld into the whole timespan of the story. The audience for the book is mostly family, but anyone interested in what it was like to grow up mostly in a small (at that time) northern California community followed by four years in San Francisco may also find the story of interest. Interwoven throughout the narrative are many photographs and supplemental documents from the author's family archives.
