Book Synopsis
My wife and I traveled to Scotland in May 2022. This book tells the story of that visit in a sequential narrative heavily fortified by many color photographs and supplemental background information gleaned from many sources encountered on our journey. We spent four days in North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland, and hired a personal guide for three of those days. His contributions enrich the story. The body of our visit was participation in a traditional music and history tour of Scotland's Borders, the Isle of Arran, and part of Argyll. The emphasis on traditional music finds voice in frequent siting of traditional ballad lyrics. This book should appeal to a broader audience than family and friends because of the depth of research evidenced in the text.
