Lowering Printing Costs

Nobody likes a pricing change, unless the price goes down, and that’s what we’ve done at TheBookPatch.com. We are lowering printing costs on almost every book size and binding. Check out our new book price calculator and see for yourself.

We are using the same printer, paper, binders and inks as before. The quality and materials that go into your print on demand project are exactly the same. We are not shrinking or using cheaper materials.

In the next couple of weeks and months we will be enhancing TheBookPatch.com with new features, including new bindings, paper and ink choices for your print on demand projects.

We have been asked repeatedly over the years to add a hard cover option to TheBookPatch.com and we will be adding this very shortly. All our current sizes and a couple of landscape sizes will be added as options. Covers will be available in Glossy or Matte with the same brilliant colors we provide today in our perfect bound and coil bound bindings.

With our new printer we can print three new landscape size and they are:

For our black and white ink projects, we are adding the option to choose a 60 pound cream paper. We like the new cream paper for novels or text based books. The paper adds some polish to the pages and the ink does jump off the page. An elegant choice.

We are adding a premium black and white as well as a standard color as ink choices. Right now when you order a color book, you are getting premium color and 80 pound white coated paper. In the future, you will be able to save some money on color printing and choose a standard color with our 60 pound uncoated paper. This choice would be good for projects that use color in headings and not photos.

Along with our glossy covers you will soon be able to order your print on demand project with a matte cover finish. We love the glossy but sometimes you want to go against the grain and shake things up with a matte cover finish. You will still get our brilliant cover colors but with a matte finish.
