This book is a compilation of short stories of life, as seen through the eyes of a rural police officer. There are incidents from his younger life, which carry into how he became what he is, what he believed, and things he worked through. The majority of his career was served in a large county. He often patrolled alone and had to get himself out of whatever he got himself into. No day was the same, and no person responded the same. There were times of fear, anger, disappointment, and sickening tragedies. A Cross Bearer's Deliverance is a memoir of my life beginning in poverty stricken 1950’s Danville,Virginia and chronicles my experiences as I was moved up and along the east coast growing up in Boston,Massachusetts.While constructing my story it brought forth memories I suppressed of love, betrayal, devotion and revelation shown through those closest to me. It demonstrates that even though everything in my surroundings suggest I go on a self deprecating journey........I choose one of enlightenment. Join me on that journey!
