Note from Nicole: As I've said before, what started out as a booklet to make for my daughters & granddaughters turned into a book series filled with memories, fun, laughter, suspense, and great messages I was taught. Athens was my mom's maiden name, and my favorite aunt's last name, who was the one and only, Auntie Lilly. This book is in memory of my parents, Norbert and Helen Engbarth, who were AMAZING parents. I never had a sister like in the stories, but I had a best friend who was as close as a sister. I can honestly say junior high was like the Tale of Two Cities, “the best of times and the worst of times” filled with suspense. I also included some of my memories of raising my girls as they always kept me on my toes. The series all came together very well and the fourth & last book has some more memories of mine, but is more my husband's story. All four books are based on true events. Events means some of it is true, and some things I added to keep readers on their toes. Enjoy!
