Book Synopsis
Abby and Molly take a winter vacation the day after Christmas with their parents and with Charles Peretti's family, their dad's best friend, to the cabin of Lake Annabella. One unpredicted escapade after another takes place until the biggest challenge comes, the Athens and Peretti families have to prepare themselves for a huge ice storm that was supposed to miss their location.
Abby isn't concerned about the storm near as much as the escaped prisoner who broke out of Lockgate Prison on Christmas Eve. A stray dog, Buster, sneaks into Abby's life before the storm and Abby takes care of her in hoping to keep her for good. As times passes, Abby believes her new four legged friend is linked to the escaped prisoner...and also wonders if the escaped prisoner is ought to get the Peretti family judging from the prisoner's background. The mystery of it all comes to an emotional end on New Year's Eve at the Live, Laugh, Eat Cafe. A beautiful ending no one seen coming.
About The Author
All books are based on true events and this book was harder to write as it wasn't something I had experienced. This story is about the long journey my husband went through to get adopted by his dad at the age of eight, meeting his biological dad for the first time.
Once again, enjoy the laughter and suspense of it all. This book is also in memory of the white dog in the picture, Budda Kudda Bear. Best dog I ever had! God Bless!
