Book Synopsis
On July 21, 1861 the Confederate Army won the battle of Manassas, which the Union called Bull Run, and drove the Union Army back to Washington. Now the south controlled the railroad system from Virginia to the rest of the confederacy.
Abraham Lincoln knew if he was to attack the Confederate capital at Richmond he would have to cut the supplies coming to Manassas and disrupt the rail system. Into this situation Aaron McNair and a small team must go behind enemy lines, steal a supply train headed north and destroy what they can on their escape north.
