This is a book birthed out of a series of messages preached and taught to The Kingdom Church-LFKRT family of Columbia, South Carolina in the year 2021. I wrote a book back in 2010, yes, about 13 years ago of a very similar title. And as I was doing my daily study and devotionals and seeking God’s voice and direction on the way that we should be going in this season as a ministry, I was led back to this title, but with the added caveat of focusing on the phenomenon or the experience of Pentecost. The Road Back is an unpacking of the premise that all of us are on the road back to what God intended for us in the first place. For some of us The Road Back is a revisiting of familiar places--where we once held sway, but by misfortune or personal mishaps we forfeited those places and found ourselves in territories both mentally and physically that were uncomfortable and unfamiliar. For others of us The Road Back is a return to what we left voluntarily either by willful neglect or because we believed we were stronger than we actually were, and we quickly realized that we were not yet galvanized in our faith to strive in these new places.

Waiting on God is an Advent devotional intended to inspire the reader to a spiritual posture of anticipation of the arrival of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This devotional is divided into four weeks of short, but inspiring readings with associated reflections and activities intended to give the reader a tool to intentionally navigate through this season of joyful , hope-filled, waiting and preparation. As you read, engage of the accompanying exercises and prayerfully listen to the heart and voice of God through these scriptural references.

This book is an attempt to revive the significance of Jesus’ first teaching. Within its precepts could be argued are some of the most fundamental truths about what it takes to be a child of God. As believers, we shouldn’t just be content to be saved and on our way to Heaven. We should be eager to understand what it takes to become the best disciple of Christ that we can be.

Who am I? I am an ANOMALY! is an ode to the folks who have looked at themselves as odd, but who are really a new creature, made in God’s image, but not easily defined or described. The age in which we live is calling for those that are different, to embrace their difference and to recognize the handiwork of God in their lives fashioning their difference to make an impact far beyond their imagination.
