Book Synopsis
A memoir of the author's service as a Peace Corps Volunteer on Pohnpei Island, Eastern Caroline Islands in 1967 & 1968. The narrative is based on letters and journals written at that time, plus reflections and additions after the 50+ years that have passed since then. There are about 285 photographs, most of then color images, and all taken by the author. The book may appeal to RPCVs who served in Micronesia, but the photographs may attract persons interested in the islands at that time of transition in the post-WWII era of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
