Book Synopsis
Young Teddy “Rocket” Ruquette lives on the shore of the Great Lakes surrounded by beauty and an endless variety of fun. Yet he dreams of being a treasure hunting pirate. Following a story from an old sailor, Rocket and his friends search the bottom of Lake Ontario for lost gold. Rocket and the others learn that merriment can suddenly become a desperate struggle to survive the ruthless storms of life. Excitement over the hunt fades under a cloud of fear. Pursued by a strange man they fall into twisting situations they cannot control. Rocket’s reluctant association with Sally, a disheveled, know-it-all, tomboy helps him weather the tide of adventures. Together they discover the stony truth of being a Pirate of Shipbuilders Creek. Go with them and find the price of lasting treasure.
