SCATTERSHOT begins with Patty Westfield's miraculous rescue. Duke Westfield, former sheriff and family patriarch, extrapolated his brand of justice for Patty. Due Process for Patty's abductors is retribution and Duke's twelve-gauge double-barreled shotgun.
The unpredictable ending takes an unexpected turn that is both magical and joyous. A traumatic and perilous event was serendipitous. Sheriff Dakota Westfield and her K-9s, Xaro and Xena, are drawn to a life they never envisioned.
