Book Synopsis
"The Message to the Messianics" is "The Letter to the Hebrews." This study of Hebrews deals with issues that exist today in Messianic Judaism. Jews who believe in Jesus (Yeshua) as their savior are worshiping in a Jewish style with gentiles Christians who love Israel and the Jews, and who want to participate in the celebration of Torah. But the relationship between trusting Jesus for salvation and loving the Law is difficult, hard to understand and filled with risk. Both legalism and anti-law thinking affect the Messianics, as they do Christian churches in general. Hebrews has the answers to this confusion, but we often think it teaches "replacement theology" or threatens us with loss of salvation. My study finds in the Tanakh convicting messages about "spiritual rest" and the sins of religious self-effort. These will clear our minds to hear the warning in Hebrews, that we are neglecting "such a great salvation." Then we are ready for a glorious encounter with God.
