Book Synopsis
Whilst working on this topic The Lord had me research mountaineers and find parallels that would apply to the topic; parallels were marked. He further took me through the teaching preparation using that analogy.
Mountaineers are different than ‘hikers’. The former are known: to face a multitude of risks and dangers; to be cognizant of impending dangers; to look out for their fellow man; to be fully equipped and physically fit; to appropriately navigate changes in weather; and, to have a grounded and highly skilled survival knowledge. They have self-discipline, self-control, and are humble regardless of what heights they reach.
There is a difference between those that are “ordinary” and those that do “exploits” in the Kingdom (Dan. 11:32b) – hikers vs mountaineers.
The relationship God seeks to have with us, particularly in an upward climb, is one of mutuality in which He “knows” us (Ex. 33) and we “know” Him (Dan. 11).
