Book Synopsis
For over 50 years self-help books have been saying happiness is simple: just set your goals, think positively, go to your "happy place," or take "baby steps." Yet our society has record high levels of obesity, addictions to alcohol, drugs, shopping, and now even the internet.

GETTING THE MOST AND GIVING THE MOST goes much deeper than these shallow solutions. It seeks "soul-lutions," so you know who you truly are inside and what you really want to do with your life.

Together we will embark on a journey, exploring the five foundational areas of life that have a major impact on how motivated you feel every day, to rediscover the person you are underneath the personality you have become. We Get The Most out of life when we have an authentic understanding of what motivates our hearts, and then we can experience the deep gratification that comes from giving back to others.

About The Author
Author bio image
For more than 25 years George has worked as a therapist and is the CEO of a large human services agency he founded 22 years ago. GETTING THE MOST evolved from the numerous clients he counseled over the years, the vast majority (even in middle age) still not knowing who they are or what they really want to do with their lives. George is also a public speaker, conducting work-shops/weekend retreats on What Truly Motivates The Human Heart, which is, as poets have said for centuries, the soul. Rumi, the Sufi mystic, called it our "inner lover." George always livens his writings and workshops with meaningful stories, poems, and images.
