This book was printed from a copy of the Original book of the Memorial Addresses on the life and Character of John Geiser McHenry. John was the owner of the McHenry distillery located in Benton, Columbia County, PA. The distillery was started in 1812 by "Hunter" John McHenry and continued under his Son Rohr and then in the hands of his son John G. John was a congressman. The memorial address was delivered in the House of Representatives and Senate of the United States, sixty- second congress third session of the state of Pennsylvania where he served. Henry Martin Bradley was born in Lee, Massachusetts, in 1824 and moved to Ohio in 1835. Despite the danger of wolves, a young Henry helped his family clear their Ohio land and farm in the 1830s. He owned and operated lumber mills in Michigan in the 1860s and 1870s and tells of the rough-and-tumble politics of the time. He prospected for iron ore in Minnesota in the 1880s. Late in life he owned an orange orchard in California and spent his winters there. Bradley died in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1918.
