At age 10, I could not find any interesting adventure books in the library, so I wrote my own. The Bloody Bone on a Cemetery Wall was a common tongue-in-cheek phrase mocking horror stories. I borrowed this title and tried to fit a plot to it, to flesh it out (pun intentional). Well, here is my first pulp fiction. I translated it from Slovenian into English at age 16, and self-published it at age 72. The character of Arsène Lupin, "gentleman thief and master of disguise" was borrowed from writer Maurice Leblanc, and that of Crichton Davey from Sax Rohmer's novels.
