This teaching is based on the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32). Using the parable as a model, participants first examine: where they are (and how they got there), then they identify things they need to do personally in order to arise and walk in their calling. In this teaching resource participants examine whether they are indeed “pressing toward the mark” from “God’s perspective”. Self-examination questions are used throughout the text so readers can walk away with a more realistic view of their standing. It is God who: sets the mark, holds the prize, and, ‘calls’- His way through Christ Jesus. When we truly are pressing toward the mark we can say as Paul that nothing shall separate us from God or His love (Ro. 8: 35-end).

This resource is based on the scripture Proverbs 4:23: "Keep thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life” from a biological symbolical perspective. Most of what we know of the life of Jesus comes to us from four Gospels in the New Testament, specifically, the Synoptic Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke. These books present a more human, historical view of Jesus. The Gospel of John, much different, provides the view of a divine Jesus. These four Gospels are unique endeavors regarding Jesus' social situations, his loved ones, and his reactions to stress. In this study I looked at Jesus' behavior through the Synoptic Gospels, and analyzed Jesus' behavior against the field of criminology.
