Addiction comes in many forms and in many ways. We all have to fight our demons to get to the end of the tunnel. Fighting our way through oblivion and flying through the abyss. We all have a story. A journal sort of speak. Our words and thoughts. These are mine.

Sometimes, life just shows up and when it does there are two things that can happen; we handle it in ways that are beneficial to our goals or we find other ways to cope that have a profound negative effect on us and the people and things we value.

This recovery workbook has been a long time coming. I have written it in the hope of introducing people to the wonder of journaling, creating an inventory, and setting goals. While writing, things occur to us that may not have otherwise seeped up from our unconscious. Writing also reinforces what we have learned and acts as a bench mark affirming our progress. This book focuses on offering guidance to those seeking a life free from addiction. More specifically, it is written by a pastor who counsels directly from biblical teachings how to live a life free from addictions. It is a very accessible and readable book, full of the wisdom of scripture and presented in such a way that the reader can feel motivated, encouraged, and ready to change—and continually renew—one’s life with a realistic plan to proceed.

The help found within this book is not limited to only those with addiction issues. This book is about overcoming SIN AND SELF. It is a book written to give instruction towards the development of godly character which is guaranteed victory over the horrible bondage of addiction. This book emphasizes Christian discipleship and proves that addiction is a symptom of the sin of serving self. Faith in Christ and a continuance in the scriptures is the means presented to aid someone in overcoming sin and self.
