Anyone at any given time may have suicidal ideas. All suicide attempts should be taken seriously. Sometimes other emergency providers need to be involved in the suicidal individual’s healing process. Not eliciting outside help would be like telling a physically sick person not to go to the medical doctor for examination or medication.
