An auto accident, a man with super powers, a space alien, terrorists from another planet and a street gang are the main ingredients of this fast-paced, action-packed story. A middle-aged comic book artist loses consciousness after suffering a serious accident and wakes up, not only without injuries, but with limited super powers. His initial reaction is to hide the new abilities. While on a bicycle ride, he has to use his powers to save a woman and two children. The act is recorded by a bystander and appears on TV, when an announcer gives him the name Pedalman. This leads to a series of adventures involving aliens and an unusual alliance.

Sal Grimone is a GREAT DECEIVER! He gets paid to digitally implement his deceptions. Unfortunately for him, his neat world is about to be rocked by the unexpected intersection of other members of the reality he inhabits. And oh yeah, the line between reality and fiction has been made thin by the birth of a thing called the "Holonosphere". Everyone is struggling with metaphysical problems brought about by this.
