Conversation on America’s Black urban family, its functionality, and continued struggle to find purpose within the daily taunt of institutionalized racist systems. All that seems to provide much of the devastation that plagues Black existence as a community. Whereby the challenge for equality, wealth, and education has created a real conflict for black value and acceptance into mainstream white America. In this lies the “Wooden Nickel” for which we shall explore and diagnose to help bring a new focus towards being a Black American in this nation.
