T.R. Lazorishak (Luh-zor-shak), a Ukrainian-Slovak-American, grew up in football-crazy western Pennsylvania (in Mercer County). His elderly Dad, Ted, a U.S. Army veteran, was a high school head football coach and teacher there; his Mom, Flo (now deceased), collected art glass and antiques. After graduating high school in Pennsylvania, T.R. enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He spent four years guarding vital military aircraft/munitions in West Germany and in northern California. While stationed in West Germany, he had temporary duty for a short period; he helped guard the U.S. Embassy in the little country of Luxembourg (giving the U.S. Marines normally on guard duty there a break to attend a yearly dance). He was honorably discharged in the early 1980s after achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Security Police career field. Single, & a part-time writer, T.R. lives and works in scenic Colorado, far from the rolling, green hills of his youth in the old Keystone State. He enjoys rooting for the Pitt Panthers & Air Force Academy Falcons; T.R. also collects Civil War relics/items. The author has other historical booklets for sale on The Book Patch website (www.thebookpatch.com).
