Book Synopsis
In about 964 BCE, when King Solomon concluded his prayer at the temple dedication ceremony, fire literally came down from heaven and burned up the burnt offering. Something called "God’s glory" filled the new temple so intensely that nobody could enter!

Everybody standing there knew beyond the shadow of a doubt: God had heard Solomon’s prayer on their behalf. Over the next two weeks, the people of Israel had a huge party. There was plenty of music and a massive bbq (including the sacrifice of 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep and goats). Eventually, the crowds went home, all grew quiet again, and Solomon went to rest in his palace. You might think this is where the story ends, but this is where things get fun.

That night, God, personally and specifically, came and spoke to Solomon. And His words are as relevant to you and me today as they were to Solomon three thousand years ago.
