Recovery is Possible!
Individuals with mental disorders are looking for tools that really work. They will not be disappointed with this excellent resource. The materials in this workbook are taken from the groundbreaking book Finding Recovery on the Road Less Traveled. This manual is designed to be used by participants in psycho-educational groups, or can be used as a guide for individual change. Each chapter provides very specific information on how to implement targeted skills. Examples of these skills include understanding why symptoms occur, developing a plan for recovery, finding more joy in each day, strengthening self-worth, and learning to manage negative thoughts and emotions. Practice assignments are given at the end of each chapter so these coping skills can be learned experientially. The author has been running groups utilizing these concepts for over 15 years.
