Book Synopsis
The Recovery Journal - Book One, is a collection of inspiring stories of recovery written by those living clean and sober lives, one day at a time. They tell their stories of their experience, strength and hope unedited in order to share their journey. The families disease of alcoholism, has many first cousins, drug addiction, domestic violence, sex addiction, gambling and co-dependency. All the pain of addiction spreads through the family like a tornado leaving each person's life shattered.
Addiction is a disease, it is not a moral issue, although it is hard to imagine why anyone who willingly put themselves and their families through hell. The stories in this book share the insight that recovery brings, the hope of living, happy, joyous and free.
Recovery is a God given gift. Unfortunately, not everyone makes it. But those who do, share their stories with the reader, as a beacon of light, on a jagged shore, offering safe harbor to those who do whatever it takes to stay clean.
