Book Synopsis
A 3-vol. treatise totaling 1500+ pages on The Person, Work, and Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The emphasis is on the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, with a detailed analysis of the cessationist debate. Extensive documentation is provided (3,700+ footnotes), extensively using the finest exegetical, Biblical theology, and historical sources.

Vol. 2 begins with an extensive scholarly analysis of the gift of tongues, followed by several lines of argumentation (exegetical, theological, historical, etc.) for the continuation of gifts of the Spirit. The remainder of this volume is comprised of a lengthy analysis of cessationism. Five types of cessationism are critiqued (e.g., Calvin, Warfield, Gaffin, hyper-preterists). Then an exegetical analysis of the main texts used by cessationists (1 Cor 13; Eph 2:20; etc.) is made. Finally, rebuttals are given to 8 common cessationist arguments (e.g., ongoing special revelations are incompatible with the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture).

About The Author
Dr. Robert Fugate is an author, pastor, and theological mentor. He earned a Ph.D. in Christian Intellectual Studies and a M.Div., both from Whitefield Theological Seminary. Robert has written a variety of teaching materials that have been used by pastors and missionaries in over sixty countries. His writings focus on Biblical worldview, presuppositional apologetics, and systematic theology. These books may be viewed at LordoftheNations.world. His book, The Bible: God’s Words to You, is a nearly 900-page treatment of the doctrine of Scripture. It is the only comprehensive text on bibliology written from a presuppositional/Biblical-worldview perspective. There is nothing comparable to Dr. Fugate’s new worldview book, The Foundation and Pillars of the Biblical Worldview. His book, Tyrants Are Not Ministers of God: What the Bible Teaches about Civil Disobedience, Romans 13, and Quarantine, provides a desperately-needed antidote to tyranny.
