June I. King is the Williams family historian. She is a native of Princess Anne Co., VA (Seatack). She is the great-granddaughter of William Newton and Georgie Anne Williams, the granddaughter of Lola Jane Williams Morgan, and the daughter of Isabelle Morgan King. She graduated from the only high school for blacks in Virginia Beach. She received a B.S. degree from Virginia State College (now University) and an M.A. degree from Morgan State University. She is a retired teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools system and a retired officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. She is a lifetime member of the Seatack Community Civic League, the Daisy Chain Social and Charity Club (the oldest black female organization in Virginia Beach), and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., to name a few.
