Book Synopsis
The lovely damselfly, Princess Persephone, has been betrothed against her wishes to the elusive and awkward Prince Thaddeus. Although Thaddeus is extremely wealthy, he is also a mole cricket, and Persephone is loath to become his underground bride.
She escapes, leaving behind a sheltered existence within the palace walls to join a travelling band of tiny actors who call themselves the Nasty Gnats. As she travels the surrounding country, she must constantly keep one step ahead of her father and his vast army of terrifying assassin bugs.
