Book Synopsis
Your personal identity describes who you are, who you aspire to be, or who people perceive you to be. The majority of us have been told in our lives at one time or another that we can be whoever or whatever we want to be, but what happens when someone else makes that decision for you without your honest consent? Typically in our society when someone's identity is stolen, there are a series of laws and agencies in place to remedy that issue; however, when it is the lawmaker that is the thief of your identity what recourse do you have? Who do you tell? Who can help you? Who will believe you?

Stolen Identity is a story about a young man's battle with a dysfunctional family, a faulty criminal justice system, and oppressive society to distinguish who he really is from who they have labeled him as and virtually created him to be.

As a long term employee and teacher at Houston Community College, I was very touched by the troubles RoShawn experienced. I am most concerned with helping students get a good start in life and take great offense to anyone who would deliberately sabotage a young man's chances with falsehood. It was tough to realize he must be one of thousands. What I found most compelling was in the forefront his "I forgive you"s" as he lists his adversaries.

This justice system has been broken from the time it was created and it's crazy what some of us have to go through in order to understand who we are or what our purpose may be in life.

This guy is one remarkable young man. Many people his age that go through so many life-changing events after another give up. But he kept fighting and I admire that. This young man didn't let life define who he is or what he could be. I just wish I knew where the fight ends. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Really Good Read.

The criminal justice system is an unfair system that favors one group of people and devours other groups. It's sad, but the criminal justice system needs to seriously be reconstructed. This is a 5-star book.

RoShawn this is a wonderful book. I would not think that you had to face all you did seeing as to you are always smiling and happy. At the end of the day you won you stand tall and in my eyes not broken at all. It's sad how I used to think a great nation like this would do better. Looking back to where I am from looks like we have more justice and integrity. May the great God we know bless you dearly and help us all.
