Book Synopsis
Sledgehammer is a true story of survival in the midst of insanity. This story includes laughter and love, travel and adventure. It includes frantic 911 calls, desperate flights into the woods, breaking out of hospitals, detainment by Immigration and Naturalization Services, broken restraining orders, conversations with The Department of Homeland Security, an attempted kidnapping, a high-speed police chase, and imprisonment.
Only a few short months into my “dream marriage,” the pieces began to fall apart. These were only the fissures under the surface. What hit me, while pregnant with our second baby, was beyond anything in my wildest imagination. This began a prolonged and unbelievably real battle for my very existence, for the survival of our children, and for my husband who was as much a victim as he was an aggressor.
