Romance in the Sun is a heartfelt love story set in World War II of a young man who volunteered to join the Army and is shipped overseas.

After arriving in France, Robert Preston, Junior, finds friendship and hijinks through two of his Army buddies and accidentally falls in love with a waitress at a Paris Café. This beautiful and smart woman, Susan French, has a heart of gold and isn't prepared for what follows her into this unpredictable romance.

This book is written in a straight forward manner and I thoroughly enjoyed the way Richard Dobbs told this story.
