My heart was truly set and after nearly two years of planning, training, and a pandemic-forced delay, my Camino de Santiago became a reality. What made me think I could average 15-miles/day over 33-days in order to complete the Camino when I’d never averaged 15-miles on even two consecutive days? Well, faith, commitment and fellow pilgrims were key.

She is a retired Army-wife, retired special education teacher, a retired director of a private school for special-needs children and a retired personal chef. Lana works part-time in an adjunct post office/gift shop where she shares smiles and cheer.
