Now an orphan, G is shuffled in and out the foster care system for a period of five years. After years of mental and physical abuse, G runs away and takes refuge in an abandoned building, that is adjacent to a playground. Through events in this book, G searches for answers to the reasons behind his family being killed. Now age Fourteen, G has a decision to make, that will change his life forever. Such a great read!!!!

I finished the book within 3 days it kept me interested (It was an addictive page turner). I laughed, I cried (lol), and stayed on edge especially towards the end.

Without telling too much of the book my favorite part was building relationship with the characters, they each bought something to the table and their bond was like no other. So it wasn't just one scene.

My favorite characters were "the crew" DSB and Jamal (the vets of the projects), Ladie and Flute. At such a young age, these kids had heart and loyalty.

The prayers made me feel (as the reader) that no matter what they were faced with, God was at the center of it all. Thank you Read Allday. Definitely recommended.
