Book Synopsis
The most important legacy that a parent can leave their children is leaving a world a better place than it was before they entered this world. We have become a people obsessed with themselves. We have “selfies”, entitlements, “safe spaces”, and a plethora of self-endowed rights. We idolize movie stars, sports figures, the young and the beautiful. We glorify sex, violence, greed, drugs, and alcohol. We idolize people and ignore God. We glamorize Hollywood rather than trying to be like Mayberry in the Andy Griffith Show. Young couples today are impatient, often placing greater importance on material things rather than taking time to develop their relationship. Careers and possessions are a higher priority than putting down roots and raising a family. Life should be a learning experience that never stops. We should treasure each day, surround ourselves with those we love and who love us, help those who are in need, be a role model, not look back on disappointments and what could have been, not fret over what might happen, but embrace the moment.
