Book Synopsis
Dante Drummond is a successful Palo Alto business woman. In this engaging life story, including 17 moves and 12 schools by the age of 16, Dante shares her hopes and dreams – taking us from her loving family farm in Virginia to the wacky Driftwood Shack in Florida and beyond. We travel with her to the outskirts of an Indian reservation, on to a movie set in Tucson, to a runaway teenage girl's life in downtown Los Angeles . . . and eventually to the mega-mansions of Silicon Valley. The only reliable constant in this girl's life was change – new homes, families, schools, and experiences – ever adapting to new lifestyles. Amid the chaos, long-term relationships were difficult to form. From her loving Nana and artistic father – to the sometimes cruel caregivers, and on to foster homes, there was never a dull moment. But this is a story of hope – a metamorphosis of character and spirit. With rapt anticipation we follow Dante out onto the ledge. And we jump . . . and with her we learn to fly.

Dante's book is above and beyond EXCELLENT.... it reads like a mystery full of adventure ... she attained her goal of giving hope... for a wonderful future.

I urge everyone to enjoy this exciting read ... what a story of her life... and for those who have experienced the Foster Home life, especially.

I have known and worked with Dante since the early 1990's. She is a true leader and professional... All those whose lives that have crossed her path are truly enriched !!!

An avid FAN and proud friend...

This was a fascinating book to read. Dante keeps your interest throughout the book. What a wild ride Dante was on during her childhood especially. It gives great hope to foster children out there who might be frustrated with “the system”. Great work, Dante.
