Magnificent read, and the detail is to die for. The love and caring shown, the anger and pure anguish that the main character shows.This story has everything. I'm not sure if this is a true story but it definitely could be. It sheds so much light onto young people. How different circumstances can change you, your outlook, and how you want to be seen. I WILL be buying her work again!

This book rides the razor's edge between unbelievably fucking crazy hot and damn-near outlawed!

I generally think knowing less going into a story is ideal. But it's good to know a few things about Hollow Girl going in. Hollow Girl is an erotic thriller about a teenage girl named Allison who falls for a girl named Jessica, and entails the increasingly dangerous situations they find themselves in as Jessica reveals more about a secret double life she's involved in. Allison is pulled deeper into a world of sex, drugs and depravity that threatens to change her forever. It's an intense read, but a highly satisfying one, as well. Be forewarned, this is not for the faint of heart. Jennifer Johnson writes honestly and brutally, but beautifully as well. This story does involve rape, prostitution, sexual violence and heavy drug use, mostly revolving around characters that are teenage minors. But if you can enjoy with heaviness in your escapism, Hollow Girl is a wonderful work of fiction that successfully puts you into the mind frame of a young girl seeking something to fill the emptiness inside and gets more than she bargained for. "Buy the ticket, take the ride."

Hollow Girl is hard to put down. The writing makes smooth transitions, flows together nicely, and overall just well written. I’m normally really good at guessing what will happen next, but I was caught off guard near the end. The characters and relationships, while some a bit cliché, are honestly painted in a way to be relatable in a lot of ways. The content was at about the graphic level I expected and also very scary to think about if you, yourself were in that position.

Events like this occur in real life as well and I felt it was captured very well. Most stories like this in real life don’t have as happy an ending as this book. The ending felt complete aside from a minor plot hole that I couldn’t quite figure out, but that’s not even important compared to the rest of the story. It was unsettling how realistic it felt at some points. Though, this is what I think makes this a great book. Describing such a horrifying event to such a young teen, I can understand why some people would dislike it for that but it also sheds light on how this can happen to anyone in real life.

I really can not believe there are even negative reviews. Yes, the graphic scenes are very intense and vivid and they are taboo. This I don’t think should be the main focus of the story and I loved the book. I would definitely like to see more written, not necessarily a sequel though just in general. You are very talented and I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting high quality from someone I follow on tumblr but thank you for surprising me.

Had seen this in tumblr posts and I wish I would've gotten it sooner!!!! OMG!! The details make everything so vivid in ur imagination it's unreal. Even had me gasping & "oh SH*T"-ting throughout!!! Highly recommended!!

Amazing read, the details make it hard not to lose yourself in the material. As a male this book made me question my views on me, it challenged my very morality. It was hard not to be so aroused and overwhelmed, her details are vivid and clear. This thriller will keep you on edge and begging for more, at the end you'll be wishing there is a follow up, but I guess we'll just have to wait.
