Book Synopsis
The following is an outline of Presque Isle history that has been gathered and written by the Reverend George M. Park. Mr. Park died in 1929. His notes were typed at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle into three books when Mrs. Beula Akeley was librarian. These books were then retyped, edited, and transferred to this version by the University of Maine at Presque Isle History program.

Reverend George Melville Park was born in Dixfield, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Isaac and Emeline Smith Park.
