Book Synopsis
Hashigo Yakusoku is a fifteen-year-old boy who lives in Heiwamachi, a small town in Japan. He's been taking martial arts classes in an attempt to suppress his deep-seated hatred of himself, but he has the same amount of talent for that as he does for everything else: zero. He slowly comes to the realization that his life has no meaning. On January 26th, 2121, he is kidnapped by a man wearing a black kimono. He, along with six other strangers, will participate in the Hanketsu Project, an experiment of death. One person will be killed every hour. They have seven hours to escape. Will Hashigo survive? Will anyone survive? Or have the gods already sealed their fates?
