Book Synopsis
This teaching helps the readers to understand that some things we go through in life is not necessarily about ‘us’, but rather about a ‘spiritual contract’ that has been put on our life (as in the case of Job 1:8; 2:3).
It is essential that we remain hedged by God in order to finish & pass ‘the’ test – our integrity must be maintained throughout the process.
At times when we experience ‘outer shame’ from others, like Job we must learn to ‘scrape it off’.
Throughout this teaching we learn: the importance of choosing our words wisely; to consider our role in the conflict; and, to appreciate that as we counsel & pray/believe for others in their time of trouble – so art we to exercise grounded faith during our season in a just manner.
When we ‘arise’ from the ashes we can proclaim with longevity “thou He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15), and after waiting for our appointed time we will receive double blessings for our trouble!
