Dr. Cristina Nedelcu is a full-time lecturer at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU)-Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (MSASS). She teaches a variety of courses in direct social work practice, theory and research methods and provides academic advisement to large number of graduate social work students. Dr. Nedelcu utilizes a large range of instructional strategies to engage students, including adult learning theory, self-directed, cooperative and transformational learning. Dr. Nedelcu is passionate about curriculum development and has been and is still active in the implementation of the virtual curriculum at MSASS. Dr. Nedelcu has been a successful practitioner for many years in a variety of settings of social work practice. Dr. Nedelcu worked in numerous capacities in the field of Child Welfare for more than 25 years, both in the US and internationally. Her area of expertise includes helping clients to achieve healthy developmental milestones in adolescent and emerging adult mental health. Her research is based on her outcomes of practice.
