Book Synopsis
The French Bureau de Poste began a series of art stamps in 1961 in a jumbo format. They honored stained glass windows, sculptures, and other art media besides paintings. However, I have selected 33 French postage stamps issued between 1961 and 1989 and have written about the French painters and their paintings that appear on these stamps.

The Stamp Album is spiral bound so that you can place it flat to work on it. The first stamp is provided but it is up to you to find the other 32 stamps. They are all the same size and use the 41mm Showgard mounts. There are extra pages for each stamp for other material such as imperforate or corner plate number examples of the same stamps.

Railway Station Press is a small nonfiction book publisher based in Alexandria, Virginia. It started out as a letterpress print shop in an old train station in the Shenandoah Valley.

The Railway Station Press logo is based on a woodcut by Maryland artist Christopher Manson, who is the author and illustrator of many children's books and a letterpress printer.
