CAPTURED

How many today want to be captured by anything or anyone? Joyful sacrifice, relentless submission, godly sorrow, and soul-ravishing satisfaction are the marks of a heart captivated by the glory and beauty of God.

Too many of us in our churches settle for rehearsing the same truths repeatedly—in singing, preaching, and discussing — without expecting to be moved by God again. But awe is the conversion experience and day-in, day-out faith in the community. As we watch God move repeatedly — for and in one another — our hearts awaken in wonder again. That is what "CAPTURED" is saying to YOU!

The author says that Christianity did not isolate believers to focus exclusively on their relationship with Jesus but made each believer another vital vein in the body of Christ — each carrying what others need from God to the one in need.

When I think about my service to the Lord, in my community and with the small group of people I touch, this Scripture in Acts 2:47 haunts and inspires me at the same time because this is what I live for. It says: “And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). All the devotion, affection, and compassion became irresistibly contagious.
