'AS RHYME GOES BY' is an inspiring and thought provoking original presentation of 36 short lyrical proses consisting of 29 'life interest' poems followed by 7 'Irish-themed' traditional genre song ballads. Each work seeks to convey the depth of emotion and the wisdom gained from very relatable events and experiences that profoundly influence our life journey and how we view our world. Written over the course of many years and accompanied by illustrating visuals, they together present a lyrical and metaphorical timeline of the many stages, emotions and changing perspectives that define our human experience and increase our awareness of who we are, where we came from and what we value. The book's title is an appropriate word play of the well-known Hollywood theme song 'As Time Goes BY' from the iconic 1942 movie Casablanca, and as that classic song lyric goes, "You Must Remember This....."
