Book Synopsis
Art always reflects reality. And occasionally reality is hard to fathom or comprehend. Still, the lack of understanding does not prevent the facts from existing. Are you willing to see that someone else’s reality can be true even if it’s not true to you? Are you willing to step out of your world to explore worlds unknown to you to consider that humanity is complicated? Are you willing to have your reality shattered by the nuances of other realities occurring within an arm’s reach?
The characters in this short collection of poetry tell their stories while still managing to tell one central narrative, one that’s all too common for some. They experience and share their circumstances with joy, laughter, sadness, heartache, and pain to give you a snapshot of their everyday lives.
