Hi sandalou! I am new here too, I am enjoying writing here, although i have one teensy complaint, I wrote the second chapter to my writing yesterday evening, and got a bit carried away talking to my fiancee, and made a cup of coffee, ten mins max i was gone, and i realised i better save this work. Pressed the save button, and it came up with ' sorry an error has been caused, sorry for the trouble something like that bla bla..., i wouldnt have minded if it was a few lines but it was close to ten pages long, is there any way i can avoid this??
any help would be apreciated, and its nice to be a part of a community where i can be creative and fit in. Heres to many successful years and authors!!
sammity. Sorry for the loss of your work, we all have been there before in some form another.
Because we do have an internet-based text editor, sessions time out (just like your e-mail will if you leave it gone for too long). Its just the way it works.
The best advice is if you know you are going to be leaving your computer for a while to do errands (or in general) is to save. And just like with an offline text editor save as much as possible.
If it is any consolation, we are working on throwing in an "auto-save" feature.
Again, thank you for your feedback and input and please keep in mind we are still putting this site together. When "all systems are go," we think it will be awesome.

Always include a bleed around your cover design

I am an artist, photographer and writer, would i be able to use my art as a cover for my novel?
With TheBookPatch printing, yes, but we can answer for everywhere.
When are printing services are up people will be able to upload their created cover designs. Of course, they will have to fit into specifications, which will be provided.
Many other publishers (offline and online) will be able to work with your orginal art too. If they can't or won't, it is a red flag.
