My first book was just published and I would like to add a link to Facebook, but all links I post put the "wholesale" price up, which means I don't get the retail difference. HOW do I get a link for the RETAIL price to post in various places? I've even tried the BUY IT NOW buttons, with the retail price and when you post it and click the link it pops up WHOLESALE price. As far a shipping a single book out is there a difference in shipping costs between the 5.5/8.5 and 6/9?

What are the pros and cons of each or is it just personal preference?

Just uploaded my book which included a front and back cover. Then I saw those are supposed to be uploaded separately so I uploaded the pdf file a second time without the included covers. I then tried uploading the elements separately using your Create Cover page but because of some limitations in that feature, the finished product doesn't look as good as my original.
If I use Full Cover: Foreground Image option to upload my two covers as one file, the dimensions would be 13.08" by 9.25". I cannot use those dimensions in Word to combine my two covers. When I download the template, to use my own elements to recreate my two covers as one, I don't see how to do that - add my photos and text - to the jpg template. I must be missing something! Please help.

For nearly a year I have been creating a "blog" from letters my mother wrote home to Germany between May 1934 - December 1937. Each letter is posted to http://lgrossman.com/trudel/ on the 77th anniversary of the date it was written. I decided I wanted to print a few copies for some of her surviving friends, most of whom are in their 80 and 90s and don't have computer access or find it hard to read on line. After several attempts to make an attractive chronological PDF from the letters from 1934, I succeeded a couple of weeks ago. Then came the hunt for a method of printing. At over 160 pages, my duplex laser printer smelled likes it was going to burn up. Staples wanted almost $100. Then I stumbled upon The Bookpatch.

Although the interface is bit klunky, I uploaded my PDF and the cover image. then I followed thebookpatch's advice and ordered only one copy. I hadn't intended to sell any online but just to get a few copies for myself, so when prompted to enter a price for the book, which was $8.95 wholesale, I entered randomly $ 14.95

When that first copy arrived I was stunned. It was beautiful. I tweaked it and ordered several more. And just for fun announced it on Facebook and Twitter and put a buy now button on the blog's home page. Imagine how stunned I was to discover that a copy had sold in the first 24 hours.

Amazing.. but I think I'll lower the price a couple of bucks. What do you think?

For a second edition of the same material. I have some new ideas on my books format after it came out. Do I need to buy a new ISBN or can I use the old one.

Hi, this is a great site so far and I am appreciative, however my order for the first copy of my book is still "Awaiting shipping" after 5 days. My customers (referred to the Book Patch from my own website) will not be happy either about such a delay. I realize this is a growing thing and kinks are still being worked out, but I hope the turnaround time can be improved.
