Most Baptists don't even know why they are Baptists. There parents were Baptist, or it was a Baptist that led them to Christ, or they just happen to like the Baptist church where they are members. Our Baptist forefathers paid a heavy price to preserve the truths of the Scriptures for us. We are capitulating to Protestants for the sake of a false unity. We like being respected so we avoid certain subjects. We are more concerned with pleasing men that pleasing God. It is time we draw a line in the sand and stand on the right side of it. It is my hope that this book will encourage those who read it to do just that.

My purpose for writing this book is to show that many who say they believe the Bible really don't. My basic premise is that if we believe the Bible, we believe and do what it says. There are many jewels hidden in the short epistle Paul wrote to Titus. The purpose of this book is to bring some of them to light. I call Titus a neglected book because some of the most valuable jewels in it are neglected by most preachers. They like to preach about the blessed hope in Titus 2:13 They also like to use Titus 3:5 to show that we are not saved by works. However, Titus 2:4-5 are often neglected because they do not fit our modern culture. The principles taught in this book will improve the quality of marriages, strengthen our churches, and help us to live our Christian lives on a higher plane.

This book flows from the experience of having been a Pentecostal and the Bible study that let me out of this movement. Baptists exist because they refused to be associated with those who changed the meaning and purpose of baptism. From the second century until sometime after the Reformation, Baptists stood separate from the apostasy of those churches which later became the Catholic or Universal Church.
