A business valuation is a multidisciplinary undertaking. Accounting, legal, investigative and analytical skills – plus extensive business experience – are all needed to conduct a comprehensive business valuation. Ridgecrest Investments, Inc., the largest private equity firm in Western Maryland’s four counties, has extensive experience in performing business valuations, both as an independent consultant and when we make changes to our own portfolio of operating companies. This brochure is not intended to teach “business valuation,” nor is it intended to be a comprehensive review of this complex subject. Rather, we have prepared this brochure to provide business owners with some of the practical and technical issues that they will face when valuing their business.
