Lawrence Speight III, a young, energetic, intelligent, confident, African American male, chose a life of crime. In an effort to get out of a hot situation, he visited his Aunt Gwen and Uncle Jimmy in Chesapeake VA. Both are ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During his visit, Lawrence had an encounter with Christ. This encounter led him to give his life to the Lord. In an amazing turn of events, he was arrested the very next day! Faced with allegations of 2 robberies, 2 abduction, and 2 firearm charges, he was taken to one of the worst jails in America. Though all of the odds were against him, Christ intervened.
